Managing Devices
This is a guide on how to add already-configured FrontRow devices to the Boxlight Admin Panel. If you require initial setup guides for your hardware, please visit https://www.gofrontrow.com/support/
Adding FrontRow hardware to the Boxlight Admin Panel allows you to keep track of devices and assign them to rooms. In turn, users associated to rooms will be able to access and control these devices via the MyFrontRow App.
Prerequisites:
- Follow the instructions to create Rooms and Users.
- A FrontRow licence is required for all users who need to use the FrontRow app. If you require a licence speak to your FrontRow rep.
Adding a Device Manually
Click the “Linked Devices” tab and then click “Add”. You will see a new window appear with the information required to add the device:

- Device Type
- Camera (such as the LessonCam)
- Audio (such as Juno)
- Conductor (for Campus control and communication)
- NOTE: Only one Conductor per school can be added.
- Device IP
- Enter the IP address of the device on the network of the school it belongs in
- School
- The school where the hardware will reside
- Rooms
- The rooms where the hardware will be placed – teachers assigned to the same rooms will inherit control of the audio hardware on their account
- Tags
- Additional tags such as “science” can be added. Users matching any given tags will inherit control of the audio hardware on their account.
After adding the device successfully, it will appear in your list of Linked Devices.

Adding a Device via CSV Import
If you prefer, or if you already have details of your devices in a spreadsheet, a CSV can be uploaded.
On the Linked Devices screen, click the “Import Device List” button. Download the sample.csv file provided and ensure that your hardware and attributes match the format with the following headings:
School / Rooms / IP Address / Device Type / Tags
After uploading your CSV file, review the table and click “Add Devices”.
